Q: What is the difference between Amber Lager and Amber Ale?
A: Amber describes the color of the beer. Different kinds of malts are used to give the beer its' amber color. The real difference is between ales and lagers. Ale beers are fermented at high temperatures and take seven to ten days to mature. Lager, on the other hand, is fermented in a cold temperature and takes about a month to mature.
